Piper Found Shot Dead The Riverine Grazier (Hay) 18

A Tumut Tragedy. Sydney, Tuesday. Laurence Sidney Piper (29), of Goobragandra
Station, in the Tumut district, was found shot dead, with his body halfway
through a fence, in the Bombowlee Creek, seven
miles from Tumut. Piper had sustained shocking head injuries, and death was apparently
instantaneous. Piper was a well known resident, and one of the best horsemen in the
district. He was to have been married next month. |
