Death of Mrs. Frances M. Eggleton

The death occurred at the Tumut and
District Hospital on Friday last of Mrs. Frances Mary Eggleton of Howick Street,
Tumut at the age of 75 years. The late Mrs. Eggleton
was born at Tumbarumba, being a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. T.Freeman. On reaching woman's estate she married
Mr. Albert Thos. Eggleton at Gundagai, but
resided at Tumut all her married life. Mr. Eggleton
passed away nine months ago. The surviving family comprises five
sons and eight daughters, viz.: Thomas ( Sydney),
Albert (South Australia), John (Goulburn); Mervyn (Tumut) and
Douglas (Gunning), Isabel Mirs. E. Wade, Brungle), Florerice (Mrs. J. Niddrie, Canelego),
Alma (Mrs. H. Smnith, Tumut), Stella (Mrs. L.
Bassett, Tumut), Emily (Mrs. F. Robson, Sydney), Doris (Mrs. G.
Burn, Mundongo), Edna, (Mrs. R. Maroney, Young), Clare, (Mrs. A. McGrath, Batlow). The funeral took place on Saturday
afternoon last, leaving from the Catholic Church at 3 p.m. for the Tumut
new cemetery. Rey. Father O'Brien officiated at
the graveside and the funeral arrangements were in the hands of W. Beavan & Son. Pall-bearers were Messrs. Thomas and
Mervyn Eggleton (sons), Harold Smith, Arthur
McGrath and George Burn (son-in-law) and Oscar Lauder (nephew). Floral tributes, were received from Her
