Death of Prime Minister The Right Honorable John Curtin

Sad news was received this morning (Thursday) that the Prime Minister of Australia, the Right Hon. John Curtin, passed away at Canberra. 

Mr. Curtin had been ill for some months, but a few weeks ago bulletins were ceased as his health showed improvement, and it was not until yesterday (Wednesday) that a public announcement was made stating that the Prime Minister's health was causing grave concern. 

Australia mourns the passing of a worthy citizen who had given of his best for his country.
