A celebration to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the death of the
Polish statesman, General Tadcusz Kosciuszko has
been arranged by the Cooma and District Chamber of Commerce as part of the
Cooma Festival of the Snows, this weekend. Australia's Mt Kosciusko - a 7,313 foot peak in NSW - is named after
him. The celebration will include a programme of
Polish music, choirs, dancing, a ski contest, a children's festival and a naturalisation ceremony. |
