October 1867 The Sydney Morning Herald |
At Gundagai, pending the completion of
long approach, a temporary approach has been constructed, and the Bridge has
been opened for traffic; the pile-driving for the completion of high level
approach has been commenced, a steam pile engine and saw mill and other
appliances, to expedite the work, having been provided by contractors. South of Gundagai, at Mundarlo, a survey has been made to keep the road over
the level of the Murrumbidgee floods, so as to prevent any interruption to
traffic. |
