Marked Tree Line Needs Attention 5
October 1865 The Tumut and Adelong Times |
On Monday evening last, the committee
appointed at the previous public meeting, met at the Woolpack Inn, to prepare
a letter to Charles Cowper, jun., Esq ,M.L.A., for
his immediate attention, asking that the sum of £500 - which has been placed
on the estimates - may be expended at once upon the Marked Tree Line, the
road being in a highly dangerous state. The committee also drew up a letter to
the Postmaster-General, praying that the present mail route should not be
altered, both of which documents have – we believe - been despatched by
to-day's post to their respective destinations, and it is to be hoped they
will meet with prompt attention. |
