Miss Ellie Bourke Passes

A descendant of the first pioneer settlers of the Wagragobilly district, Miss Ellen Bourke, passed away in Sydney last week.

The deceased was born at Wagragobilly in 1866, and was the daughter of Michael and Bridget Bourke.

A staunch 'and. devout Catholic, the late Miss Bourke was an ardent worker for her church, and devoted much time and energy in duties associated with charitable affairs, both at Wagragobllly and Cootamundra.

Only one member of the family survives, Mr. Paddy Bourke, of Homebush.

Mr. Fred Malone, of Tarrabandra, and Mr. Ken Last, of Muttama, are nephews of the deceased.

The funeral took place last Thursday, leaving St Patrick's church, Gundagai, for the Wagragobilly Catholic cemetery.
