Mr.
Jenkins's Steamer Nangas Heading to Hay 9
September 1865 Sydney Mail |
The Gundagai Herald states that the
river commenced rising on Tuesday, and at the time we write is about three
feet above the level of the last few months. Its navigation is therefore
practicable; and we understand that Mr. Jenkins's steamer Nangas,
with two barges in tow, got up steam on Thursday last, and started on the
downward trip to Hay and Deniliquin, laden with potatoes and flour. |
