The death occurred at his home on
Tuesday morning of a very old resident of Wagga, Mr. Frederick A. Lubke, of 30 Murray Street, at the age 81 years. Mr. Lubke
went to Wagga in 1910, and prior to that he worked on the first portion
of the Yanco canal. Later he engaged in farming and
carrying pursuits. He took a very active part in the
Wagga Pensioners' Association and was one of its foundation members,
being the first secretary. Mr. Lubke,
who had a short illness, is survived by his widow, three sons,
Messrs. Cecil H. Lubke, August F. Lubke, and George G. Lubke,
all of Tumut, and two daughters, Mary Magdalene (Mrs. J. Edwards),
of Sydney, and Evelyn Mary (Mrs. Bennett), of Batlow. |
