Following on the death of his brother
Michael, which occurred last week at Young, Mr. John Healy, well-known
Lacmalac identity, passed away at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. T. Harris at Lacmalac on Sunday
afternoon. The late Mr. Healy was his usual self
on Sunday morning and passed away peacefully whilst sitting in a chair
after lunch. As mentioned in our obituary of the
late Mr. Michael Healy elsewhere in this issue, deceased was a son of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Healy and was born at Lacmalac.
With his two brothers, William and
Michael, he followed grazing pursuits all his life in that part of the
Tumut district until his retirement eight years ago. For many years, also, he was in
the employ of the late Mr. F. Halloran on his Lacmalac
property and during the latter's absence in America he undertook the
management. The late Mr. Healy was held in high
esteem, as were his brothers and sisters. He was the last of his family,
those predeceasing him be- ing Edward, Thomas,
James, William, Michael, Mary, Ellen, Kate and Annie. As none of them married there are no
living relatives in Australia. Deceased had been cared for by Mr.
and Mrs. Harris at Lacmalac for some time
past. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon,
the cortege leaving from the Catholic Church for the Tumut New
Cemetery at 2 p.m. Floral tributes were sent by:- Ethel, Tom and family; Ella and Bill Kell; Jim and Mrs. Kell snr.; Wal. and Mary; N. and I. Lyell; Claude,

and family; Lillie and Charlie Clout; Belle and Lisle. The pall-bearers wore Messrs.. J. Kell snr., W. J. Kell, Lou Kell, Gordon Kell, Tom Harris and Rob, Halloran, |
