As briefly mentioned in our last issue,
the death occurred at the Old Men's Home at Young on Wednesday last of
Mr. William Healy, a native of the Tumut district, at the age of 76
years. The late Mr. Healv
was born at Lacmalac, being a son of the late Mr.
Thomas Healy, an Irish immigrant, who selected land in that part of the
Tumut district. Deceased was a member of a family of nine, none of
whom married. There is only one brother, John (who
resides with Mr. and Mrs. T. Harris, of Lacmalac)

of the property, transporting the fruit crop to Tumut for sale each
season. At one time he managed a drapery
business for a short period. He was a thorough gentleman and was
held in high esteem by all who knew him. Eight years ago, owing to advancing age,
the three brothers sold the property to Mr Gordon Kell
and came to reside in Russell-Street Tumut. Mr. William Healy passed away some
time ago. Deceased had only been an inmate of
the Old Men's Home for a short time prior to his demise. The remains were brought back to Tumut
for interment and the funeral left from the Catholic Church for the
Tumut New Cemetery. Rev. Fr. O'Brien officiated at
the graveside and the funeral arrangements were carried out by W. W. Beavan & Son. Pall-bearers were Messrs. Gordon Kell, Tom Harris, W. J. Kell,
