Rapid
Progress with the Permanent Approach to new Gundagai Bridge 4 July 1868 The Gundagai
Times and Tumut, Adelong and Murrumbidgee District Advertiser
We are glad to note the rapid progress
that is being made with the permanent approach to the new Gundagai Bridge.
The long line of piles now stretches all
across the flat and has reached the edge of Jones' 'Creek, where a floating raft
is in readiness to enable the work of driving supports into its bed to proceed,
and further operations have commenced at the termination of the bridge by the
existing temporary approach.
