Tumut Broom Factory's Record Week

The Tumut Broom Factory created a record output last week when 191 dozen brooms were produced in a week. This is by far the biggest weekly output since the factory was first started. 

With four broom-making machines in operation, the factory is becoming cramped for space, especially in wet weather, when the manufactured brooms cannot be put outside to dry out. 

The society has been discussing the advisability of extending its present premises, and probably another floor will be added to the present structure to give the extra space required.
