Gundagai and Tumut corn growers
are busy preparing land for sowing and much cultivation will be
necessary to reduce 'the phenomenal amount' of weed growth. Satisfactory seed beds have been
prepared by intending growers of broom millet and areas are
expected to show an increase on last year. Acting agronomist (Mr. Nicholson) said
some very good pea crops were to be seen, germination had been good, but
some crops had been retarded by wet weather. |
