Tumut Man Killed By

A 30-years-old Tumut contractor
was killed yesterday when the tractor he was driving reared over backwards
and pinned him to the ground. The dead man was Robert Myers, of
Quinn Street, Tumut. Myers, who was doing contour
ploughing at the time of the accident, was crushed in the chest and
abdomen. He was still alive when ambulance
men and a doctor arrived, but died on the way to the Tumut
hospital. Myers was working on the property
of Mr. Knox when the accident occurred. The tractor turned over backwards while
he was driving it up a hill. The accident occurred about 3 p.m |
