Tumut Willows Used as Substitute

Large quantities of Tumut willow have been supplied for the manufacture of cricket bats and tennis racquets as a wartime substitute for the imported product.  

Now comes information that a contract has been let for the supply of 100,000 broom bandies from Tumut willow.
