Tumut's New Broom Factory

Tumut's new broom factory, situated on the Adelong Road opposite the butter factory, is now in full swing and four operators are turning out a high grade product at top speed.

Another broom-maker is to join the staff next week. Local consumption has absorbed all brooms so far manufactured and the demand, in Tumut, Adelong, Batlow and Gundagai has been particularly high.

All millet for the next twelve months has been secured locally - Tumut produces approximately 40 per cent, of the State's millet crop and the Directors of the Rural Co-operative Millet Society have every reason to be proud of the establishment on such a firm footing of an industry which will doubtless assist In the progress and prosperity of the town and district.
