Tumut's
Record 4
March 1953 Goulburn Evening Post |
A unique fact and one which, it
is believed cannot be equalled by any other town in the State is
that three Tumut natives are now members of the N.S.W. State
Parliament - two of them Cabinet Ministers, namely- Mr. W. F. Sheahan (Attorney General); Mr. R. R. Downing, Minister for
Justice; Mr. Frank Downing, member for Ryde. The three members concerned all received
their early education at the Tumut Convent School. |
